Best Luxury Hotels in Knightsbridge

Published 28 September 2026

Knightsbridge has more five-star hotels within a few streets of each other than almost anywhere else in London, and most of them are within sight of Hyde Park. This guide picks six of the best: The Berkeley, with its rooftop pool and Cédric Grolet pastries; Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, home to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal; The Lanesborough's Regency grandeur and butler service at Hyde Park Corner; the Bulgari, with its Italian polish and long spa pool; The Emory, the all-suite newcomer from the Maybourne group; and the Jumeirah Carlton Tower on Cadogan Place. Harrods, Sloane Street and the Belgravia squares are all on the doorstep, so this is a part of town best explored on foot.

Knightsbridge is London's most concentrated stretch of luxury: Harrods and Harvey Nichols at its centre, Hyde Park along its northern edge and the quiet stucco squares of Belgravia just behind. It is also where some of the city's very best hotels sit within a few minutes' walk of one another. These are the six we would choose, each a different take on five-star London. If you are planning your time around this part of town, our Knightsbridge and Belgravia area pages are the natural next step.

The Berkeley

Tucked into Wilton Place between Knightsbridge and Belgravia, The Berkeley belongs to the Maybourne group alongside Claridge's and The Connaught, but has a younger, more relaxed character than its Mayfair siblings. The rooftop pool is its calling card, a rare thing in central London, and the French pâtissier Cédric Grolet draws a steady stream of visitors who are not even staying. La Môme London, The Berkeley Bar and Terrace and the four-floor Surrenne spa mean there is little reason to leave, although Hyde Park is only a couple of minutes away. The terrace suites looking towards the park are among the most sought-after rooms in this part of London. The hotel holds a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, and as well as the rooftop pool there is a second, indoor pool for colder days. At the top end, the Knightsbridge Pavilion and Hyde Park penthouses are some of the most spectacular suites in the city.

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

The Mandarin Oriental fills a grand Edwardian building on Knightsbridge itself, with the street on one side and Hyde Park on the other. The park-facing rooms are the ones to book. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, which reworks historic British recipes, is the headline restaurant, and the spa is one of the best equipped in the area. Harvey Nichols is across the road and Harrods a short walk west, so it is hard to find a more convenient base for shopping. There are 168 rooms and 26 suites, and the spa includes a 17-metre indoor pool. The Mandarin Bar is a polished spot for an evening drink, and The Rosebery lounge is a calm setting for afternoon tea.

The Lanesborough

At Hyde Park Corner, The Lanesborough occupies a Regency building that was once St George's Hospital. Run by the Oetker Collection, it is one of the most traditional luxury stays in London: every room comes with butler service, the interiors lean towards silk, antiques and gilt, and the Lanesborough Club and Spa gives the wellness side a private-members' feel. It suits anyone who wants old-school grandeur done properly, with Belgravia, Mayfair and Green Park all within easy walking distance. Its 93 rooms and suites were designed by Alberto Pinto in a lavish Regency style. The Lanesborough Grill, under executive chef Shay Cooper, and the clubby Library Bar make it easy to spend a whole evening without leaving the building.

Bulgari Hotel London

The Bulgari brings the polish of the Italian jewellery house to Knightsbridge, a short walk from Harrods. Interiors are dark wood, silver and silk, a nod to the brand's silversmithing roots. The spa is the real draw, built around one of the longest hotel swimming pools in London, and there is a private cinema downstairs. It suits guests who want a contemporary, design-led hotel rather than a period one. Opened in 2012, the hotel's spa pool runs to 25 metres. Sette is the Italian restaurant, Nolita Social the bar, and there is even an Edward Sahakian cigar shop on site.

The Emory

The newest name on this list, The Emory opened in 2023 next door to The Berkeley and is also part of the Maybourne group. It is an all-suite hotel designed by the architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, with each floor given its own character by a different leading interior designer. Guests share the Surrenne spa with The Berkeley. For anyone who values space and privacy above all else, it is the most exclusive address in Knightsbridge. Its 61 suites and studios were styled by designers including André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Alexandra Champalimaud and Patricia Urquiola. The Emory Rooftop Bar and the hotel's own cigar merchant give the evenings a distinctly grown-up feel.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower

On Cadogan Place, at the Sloane Street end of Knightsbridge, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower reopened in 2021 after a major refurbishment. It overlooks the private Cadogan Place gardens and has one of the most complete hotel fitness set-ups in the city, with a large health club and indoor pool. Sloane Street's designer boutiques start at the door, and both Knightsbridge and Sloane Square stations are a short walk away. The hotel has 186 rooms, and its naturally lit 20-metre pool is part of the Peak Fitness Club and Spa, which spreads across three floors. Al Mare, the Italian restaurant and bar, is a relaxed choice for dinner before a night out.
